Popular Twitch streamer Dr DisRespect and BoomTV livestream gaming platform have partnered up to host their first ever Code Red tournament for Fortnite Battle Royale.

Code Red is a 16-team Duos tournament that features some of the biggest and well-known Fortnite pro players and content creators, including the Doc himself, all facing off to claim a share of the $20,000 prize pool.

The tournament is taking place on November 8 and is set to begin at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET.

OFFICIAL STREAM

The tournament will be live-streamed on the EsportsArena channel. Streams from the players’ individual Twitch channels will be included in the ‘Additional Streams’ section at the bottom of this page.

FORMAT AND RULES

HOW TO WIN:

Code Red is a double-elimination tournament that will start off with 16 teams of two players each. Since there are no publicly available custom games in Fortnite, the competition will follow the standard ‘total of two’ format.

Each round, the Duos that are matched up together will queue into a Squads lobby and try to get more eliminations than their opponent. After two maps, the team with the more kills wins.

If kills are tied after the two maps, a third map will be played, with the first Duo to get to five total kills first winning. If neither team gets to five, the one with the higher number of eliminations wins.

SABOTAGE:

Sabotage is not allowed and will result in a forfeit if there is substantial proof that a team committed one or more of the following:

  • Damaging any of your opponents Vehicles, Equipment, Items, etc.
  • Running over your opponent with a vehicle or Killing/Harming them with a vehicle.
  • Using any equipment to interfere with your opponent.
Ex: Throwing a smoke, flash, stun/concussion, etc at your opponent.
